Sunil Mohindra BSc, ARCS, ACII

Chairperson

Sunil is a Kenyan-born legal professional and business consultant with over 40 years’ experience. A Physics graduate of Imperial College and a practising lawyer for four decades, he was Senior Partner of a niche law firm until its merger in 2014, retiring in 2024. He is also a CEDR-accredited mediator.

Through his consultancy, Sunil facilitates cross-border business between the UK, India, Africa and the Middle East, leveraging strong corporate and government relationships. He has served on UK Government delegations to India and has invested in numerous start-ups in the UK and internationally.

He is President of TiE UK North and a former Trustee of TiE’s Global Board (https://tie.org).

A founding member and the current Chair of Cariocca Enterprises Ltd., he also serves on the Board of the Manchester India Partnership (MIDAS).

Since retiring from legal practice, Sunil focuses on not-for-profit work, supporting organisations and universities in Manchester, including Manchester Museum. He and his wife, Meera, are active supporters of the arts and have two sons, Ravi and Rohan.
